Abstract

The world of education is currently facing a wide range of problems, one of which is the rampant cases of bullying in the educational sphere, especially in high schools. The phenomenon of bullying has long been a shadow over and a part of the educational world, and it remains a hot issue that frequently occurs, particularly in schools, including in Jambi province. In this case, as part of the prevention efforts, the Faculty of Law at Jambi University conducted legal counseling related to the crime of bullying in partnership with SMA Negeri Titian Teras Jambi, one of the favorite high schools in Jambi Province. The purpose of this legal counseling is for teachers and students to actively participate in prevention efforts at school, especially at SMA Negeri Titian Teras Jambi. Prevention efforts need to be socialized as an effort to minimize and keep the Indonesian education world free from bullying actions. The results show that there are still students who do not understand the dangers of the impacts and prevention efforts of bullying, both verbal and non-verbal. Therefore, the service team provided understanding through discussion materials in the form of socialization, question and answer sessions, video screenings, and the formation of an anti-bullying youth group at the school. The school's hope is that this activity can be carried out sustainably and that the results presented by the team can be applied to prevent bullying behavior, including the innovation of forming anti-bullying youth in schools as pioneering activists.
