Abstract

Namanereis sp. is classified into the Family Nereididae, class Polychaeta. The research on Polychaeta in Indonesia, is still basic research covering taxonomy, ecology and community structure. The research on nutritional content, natural feed and active ingredient content are still rarely done. This research was conducted on the antibacterial agent of Namanereis sp extract with Ethyl Acetate as solvent against Aeromonas hydrophila, Vibrio parahaemolyticus and Vibrio harveyi bacteria. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the antibacterial activity of the Namanereis sp extract against A. hydrophila, V. parahaemolyticus and V. harveyi bacteria. The method used in this research was laboratory experiment. The treatment was carried out by treating the extraction concentration of Namanereis sp. 100 grams of wet sample of Namanereis sp. was extracted with 400 mL of Ethyl Acetate as a solvent. The bacteria used in this study were A. hydropila, V. parahaemolyticus and V. harveyi which were obtained from BBPAP Jepara. Based on the results of the study, the inhibition zone formed for V. harveyi at a concentration of 100% was 3.18 ± 0.32 cm2, the inhibition zone for A. hydrophila was 2,96 ± 0,45 cm2 and the inhibition zone formed for V. parahaemolyticus was 2,7 ± 0.91 cm2. It can be concluded that the extraction of Namaneries sp. using ethyl acetate solvent can inhibit zones for each given concentration treatment (6,25, 12.5, 25, 50 and 100%).
