Asian Pompano (Trachinotus blochii) is a pelagic fish species with high economic value and is widely cultivated in Indonesia. This fish is relatively easy and fast to cultivate until it reaches a consumable size. The objective of this fieldwork practice was to understand the stages of Asian Pompano hatchery activities, determine the fertilization rate (FR), hatching rate (HR), and survival rate (SR) of Asian Pompano larvae, as well as identify the key factors contributing to successful hatchery operations. This study employed direct observation and active participation in the breeding and nursery activities of Asian Pompano. The fieldwork was conducted at the Marine Aquaculture Fisheries Center (BBPBL) in Lampung from July 1 to July 31, 2024. The hatchery activities included broodstock maintenance, spawning, egg handling, larval rearing, and water quality management. The results of the hatchery process showed a fertilization rate (FR) of 81.30%, a hatching rate (HR) of 57.14%, and a survival rate (SR) of 17%.
